Rushabh Ahir is a Gujarati folk singer and storyteller whose voice carries the spirit of Gujarat’s living folk traditions. Trained in Bhatkhande classical music from the age of four and a half, he stepped onto the stage at just seven, performing bhajans, santvani, and folk songs with a depth far beyond his years.
What defines Rushabh’s artistry is not only his powerful voice, but his ability to bring the story behind every song to life. By explaining the emotion, history, and poetry woven into folk music, he creates performances that connect deeply with audiences across generations.
With over 1,500 live performances across Lok Dayras and Raas–Garba shows, Rushabh has grown up on stage, learning from legendary folk artists and absorbing the responsibility that comes with carrying tradition forward. Rooted in the Gir region of Gujarat, his performances are known for their raw energy, emotional intensity, and strong audience engagement.
Alongside his musical journey, Rushabh is a Double Gold Medalist from Gujarat Technological University and a B.Tech graduate from Nirma University. This balance of discipline and creativity shapes his contemporary approach to folk music.
